For those of you who fell in love with the film Once and the story of Glen and Marketa, I know you will be interested in Marketa’s new blog. There, she elaborates on her ever-evolving journey through love and the beginning of her new marriage with Tim Iseler (see post below)…
All the best!
Hello again :-)
To start, I would like to elaborate on my twitter post about getting married, since two tweets, 140 characters each are far from enough to cover this very special time in my life. The man whose wife I have become is named Tim Iseler. He has been a wonderful companion to me and when he proposed to me, my whole being came forth to say that “yes”. Since then we had tried to come up with a way that we could get married at a time we weren’t busy touring, and when the people near and dear to us could gather around to share the moment and bear a witness to us entering the sacred union of marriage. However, it was proving difficult, since our friends and family are in different corners of the world and for our busy schedule, we didn’t have the time or energy to invest into organizing an event. We resolved the dilemma by deciding that the 21st of June was a special day of the year, it being the summer solstice, and since we were also free, we would go to the court house in Chicago to make our vows, and throw a party at a later point with all who wished to celebrate with us.
